Trey Burke is the next Austin rivers and it was kinda obvious imo.

Both were nobodies that weren't even supposed to be drafted (from the mocks that I saw mid-season) and out of nowhere become a lottery pick for some reason.

I'm surprised Seth didn't go 4th overall or something. Guess only 1 shitty chuck douche can make it as a lottery pick

Btw. poor mans Kemba Walker is Darren Collison or DJ Augustin. That's Trey Burke's NBA comparison. But first, he'll have Stat Pad City in Utah and make it look like he's better than that.

Seth Curry had shin surgery and was out for all pre-draft workouts and is going to miss Summer league as well.

I'll still root for Burke, but ffs he needs to start involving other people when playing...

I say JO doesn't even play on opening night, he gets injured in training camp...Iggy dunks on him or something etc...

It's completely insulting to compare Trey Burke to Austin Rivers lol

First of all, Austin Rivers wasn't good in college except for one shot. Burke was a borderline great college player and led his team to the title game. Second of all, Burke is two games into summer league. And Trey Burke didn't get overrated because of his last name. How dare you IMO

JO will stay healthy for awhile but no way he's available for the playoffs. Bogut stays healthy IMO. This system is so perfect for him. He doesn't run and he barely jumps. It's great.

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228793/Jordan-Farmar-Agrees-To-One-Year-Deal-With-Lakers

What a dumbass. The guy was making 3+ million per year in Turkey and turns that down to make the minimum in LA? Where the cost of living is ridiculous high. Only good thing is he'll get some time for the Lakers but meh.

Not surprised, he'll make up the lost money next summer with a real contract, it's a lot easier to sign a long term deal after playing a year in the league. Most European players who cross over take the pay cut for a couple seasons anyways.
Even Josh Childress left Greece and 7 mil salary to play for 4 mil per year (after taxes take 50%) in Phoenix.
And these are the hometown Lakers, that probably plays a factor as well.

Pellies sign Morrow? I wish Austin Rivers was a piece in the Jrue trade. He could hog all day in Philly and everyone would encourage him to hog even more.

I don't support the realgm initiative #TankForWiggins, I'm in the #LoseForJabariParker boat.

Ante with an essay under his avatar pic ftw

I love how Anthony Morrow keeps getting contracts. He makes very little impact everywhere he goes and the team he usually plays on blows. But he's got a three point rating of 84 so people give him a try.

Wayne Ellington signs with Dallas. Another piece to the .500 puzzle.

Corey Brewer gets 3 yrs and 15 mil from Minnesota. Pretty good for a guy who was almost out of the league in 2011. He's revamped his career nicely.

Bogdanovic to Nets signing is off. He stays in Europe.

At least now he'll have a face on 2K as a part of an Euroleague team.

Sacre is a better player and teammate than Stiemsma. Kent Bazemore

Yeah but it's one year, I don't think Sacre is a better player, Stiemsma played some mins for the C's in 2012, in playoffs too...

Sacre, not so much...

Interesting

Quote :
The league "mandates" that teams must spend $90% of their alloted salary cap. With a cap figure set at $58.5 million that places the salary cap floor at roughly $52.65 million, meaning the 76ers still have to add over $10 million in salary to avoid being under the floor.

Except they really don't. There's no real penalty to being under the floor, except that at the end of the year the 76ers would have to distribute the amount of money that they are under the floor to the players they have on roster.

Those 10 million split over current roster = Kwame gets another $600k or so for his efforts.

They could probably sign some douche for an inflated 1 year deal if they got real desperate. Give Nate 6 mil for 1 year and the license to chuck all season. He'd accept IMO. Maybe Mo Williams.

If Ante wants to blow former Celtics I would argue that Ryan Hollins was better than Stiemsma during the same year they played. At least Hollins is pretty athletic for his size and can alter a shot.

Heat thinking about giving Mike Miller the amnesty. That should have happened last summer ffs. The guy makes a few wide open threes in the Finals and suddenly he's worth having around. Him and James Jones are the same damn player except Jones makes 1/5 of the money.

This is a win win situation, either Sixers don't sign anyone and just spread the salary or they get a random hog and overpay him for one year. In both situations they're going to suck.

This cap floor revelation IMO makes the Utah part of that 3 way trade questionable. They just got a pick or two that will end up 25th+, and two meh locker room guys for a year. Could've easily gone without that and without helping a fellow WC team reach top status.

:corbin:

But not accepting the trade wouldn't make their GM a Exec. of the year candidate (for GSW) along with Morey, Hennigan, Joe Dumars and Chandler Parsons.

The Jazz went completely overboard on their tanking. Nothing like building up a fellow western conference team. Philly went a little overboard but they still have ET, Thad, Noel, maybe Royce etc.

Morey will forever be the best in the world at what he does.

Now it's time for Greg Oden and Tyrus to make their decision over the weekend.
