That's why the question "Do you really like the team you are using and the players that are on it?"

No to trade. But not as in Yes/No, No as in David Stern forbidding to trade on such a great scale before he shows commitment to the league.

Harden is not a starter. Harden shot is easy. It's not a matter of wanting Perkins or Harden, I want them both. This is just a savvy GM move in order to keep my roster just as strong for the next 3+ years. Harden won't resign in OKC because he'll test the free agency, I'm fairly sure of that (he did in my offline association), Perkins is collateral damage (the Kings need DEFENSE more than another guard but maybe it's time to let Reke go). Better to lose him and weaken the team slightly now, than suffer a major blow when we lose harden for nothing (so I'm "selling them high"). I don't mind waiting until the trade deadline if I have to. You're concerned with someone abandoning the association, that's fine, especially since this is my first OA. But my planning for seasons and recent inquiries into the modus operandi here should show I am both eager and dedicated. However, i would appreciate everyone considering the trade for its own merits and judging on that instead of anything unrelated to the fairness of the proposition as it benefits both parties (the Kings are rated 27th in defense). So if I can make the trade the week of the deadline, what would the votes be.

Ante, unfortunately you don't have any pieces that i want or that you'd be willing to give up. It's nothing personal, just business. It's similar to the Rockets pursuit of Howard.

I hope that made sense, it's like 6am here. I'll have to read the other posts when i get off work in 8 hours

Really dude? That just...hurts. That's a bit melodramatic, don't ya think? I own two games on ps3. CH8 and NBA 2k13. All others were rpgs or open world games that were beaten and traded. I moved across the country a few months ago (from Michigan to California) with just my fiancé and playstation. I'm dedicated. Besides working, there's not too much else for me to do lol.

Harden is the top 3 guy, it doesn't matter if he starts or not. That's a technicality. He still would play at least 25 of 32 mins.

No to that trade simply because you're trying to fill Sacramento with big contracts and take their smaller. They don't need to pay Perkins that money to have him backup Cousins and at the same time pay a big deal to Hayes as their 3rd Center. Chuck's role is that of an backup C defender. It would make zero sense to get another one for the price of dropping their starting PF who just got drafted in favor of an backup and Hardens future 10mil+ deal. You're basically trying to put them in your current position. Even if the trade was fair, which is not you'd have to take Hayes and probably Outlaw to make them less crowded with terrible players.

edit:
And how am I supposed to know your committed? You're just 1 of 5 new guys and all 5 are the same in my eyes. We had the same issue 2 weeks ago with last Thunder coach. Its nothing personal, but unless I'm proven wrong you are still the 17th man here to fill in the training camp with a non-guaranteed contract.

I didn't even know they had Chuck, never noticed him on the roster. Makes sense. Well I'll stick it out and deal with my Harden problem later this season.

I can imagine, Celts get Perk and Harden, Thunder get Robinson and Thornton, Kings get Jet Lee and some picks. Mitch Kupchak

Trade seems OK to me. Everyone is giving up significant pieces in this trade so it's a risk/reward deal for all involved. That's about all you can ask for.

It's not the greatest trade for the Kings but it depends what "some picks" mean. If it's two first rounders in the 2013 draft than it's a good trade. If it's multlple 1st rounders in 2014 then I disapprove. The Kings need the help immediately in the draft, not in 2 yrs.

I do understand Bounce's thoughts on it and somewhat agree but this is the world we live in regarding 2k and people get antsy with trades. I'm more disappointed in Ante's potential involvement in this deal more so than the OKC coach. Ante proclaims to love the C's and then wants to completely alter the roster before the damn season starts. Which begs the argument "why take a team if you don't want to play with their players"

But as I said before, this is the 2k culture we live in so I accept it and move on.

All of this makes zero sense, the league didn't even start. I applaud Ante for sticking to his word about no trades.

But as long as Kings don't get low-balled, go ahead.

Who knows tbh

OKC and Boston appear to be exchanging PM's behind the scenes. And then there's the rumor of a three way trade.

I wish they would be more clear as to EXACTLY what the trade offer is. Once they know that please post it as the OFFICIAL offer so we can vote on it officially instead of names being thrown at a wall and seeing what sticks.

The original OKC and Sac offer was questionable so it's likely going to need to be a three way. Perkins is a lil overpriced to be Cousins backup.

Ante's word >

Sidenote: Robinson goes up to 85-88 within a couple of seasons. Don't expect that he's worth peanuts because of his rookie scale contract. He alone is worth as Harden IMO.

Jesus Christ this shit already started and half of us dont even have the game.

My vote is no to any trade involving Harden. Why did you even take OKC if you dont like that team ? Makes no sense.

Look forward to seeing the new 3 team proposal in the coming hours/days.

He does according to those "analysts" on OS, who sim to get future season ratings. And if he's off a bad team he gets a +2 chemistry boost. 85 at start of season 3, 88 at start of 4. (I assume the chemistry boost is included)
Harden has almost the same projected career-high rating.

I only wanted Perk, but I guess I'll stick to no trading in season 1 since the team is set and there's no point in doing so...Perk is only for emotional reasons...

I change my mind sometimes, wow, I'm not trading my core players for fuck sake...Are Wilcox, Melo, Darko and Lee core players? They were only in the mix for Perk, but I'll back off because it won't be possible to get only Perk without Harden, I don't want Harden's contract, nor do I want another SG after thinking it through...

Lee is absolutely a core player and you know it. He could very well be a starter in 2013/14 if Pierce retired or tests free agency since he's on a team option.

You deserved some criticism for the latest trade rumor imo

But it's all good. The trade talks are good for discussion and drama.

He is on the list for Perk...But I'll say it again, I doubt it will happen since it will be tough to work a deal, I would have to give up Bass but I don't want to, it would prolly be Lee and Bass for Perk...

Capiche?

If that is agreed upon and approved, then Kyrie Irving will be on the Heat by mid-season. :lbj2:
